Emily was a great champion, and representative of St. Roch Catholic School.  Congratulations Emily!

ISTEP Phase I is Nearly Finished, Thanks for the Snack Donations

Thanks to all the parents who donated snacks for the first round of ISTEP testing.  Your generosity helped create a great test environment.  We appreciate your help!

Spring Break 2011

Spring Break 2011 begins at the end of the day, Friday, March 25th.  Have a wonderful, and restful, break.  We wish you safe travels as well!

The Father Wilmoth Giving Garden

St. Roch Catholic School has plans to break ground on a garden in the spring of 2011.  The Father Wilmoth Giving Garden will be located on school grounds.  It will be built and maintained by children, adults, and teachers.

The garden is moving forward. We continue to welcome any donations of cardboard egg cartons and old cookie sheets.  We’ll begin our seeding with the students the week of March 7th

The construction of the compost bins is complete! Special thanks to Jacob Allstott and Andy Farris for their fine handy work on building the compost bin, and to Tony Gibson, Tina Hayes, and Andy Farris for their donations of materials that made it happen. If anyone hasn't seen the bin yet, stop by and check it out.

The goal of this garden is to empower children with the knowledge and experience in the practice of sustainable living, the art of letting nature look after your waste, and the joy of growing from seed to harvest.

Please contact Susan Noone at nooners3@comcast.net  if you would like to help with this project.
