SATURDAY, APRIL 29, 2017 ACADEMIC SUPERBOWL COMPETITION! 

Super Bowl Teams Succeed in Area; Science and Interdisciplinary with Top 10 Finishes

Congratulations to our Academic Super Bowl teams that competed in area competitions last Saturday.  Our Social Studies, Science, and Literature teams placed first in the area competition, while our Math team finished second narrowly missing first place. In the final Interdisciplinary round St. Roch placed first.

 

After the area competitions the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) combines statewide scores to determine state champions.  Our Science team, coached by Miss Seevers, finished in the top ten! Our Interdisciplinary team also finished in the top 10.    

Thanks to Mrs. Chamberlin, Mr. Tindall, Mrs. Bender, Miss Seevers, and Mrs. Stone for coaching and challenging our kids. Thanks also to our parents for supporting our school in academic competitions.

Super Bowl Teams Dominate Area; Science Captures STATE TITLE

Congratulations to our Academic Super Bowl teams that competed in area competitions last Saturday.  Our Social Studies, Science, and Literature teams placed first in the area competition, while our Math team finished second narrowly missing first place by a tie-breaker.   In the final Interdisciplinary round St. Roch placed first.

After the area competitions the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) combines statewide scores to determine state champions.  Our Science team, coached by Miss Seevers, finished 1st in the state! Our Social Studies team, coached by Mrs. Chamberlin and Mrs. Stone finished 5th in the state. Our Literature team, coached by Mr. Tindall, finished 17th in the state. Our Math team, coached by Mrs. Bender finished 28th.

Math:  Isabella Battiston, Olivia Noone, Riley Prewitt, Joe Gibson, Malachy Davis

Literature:  Miranda Rivera, Katey Reed, Aaron Letko, Abigail Snyder, Izzy Cento

Interdisciplinary:  Emma Hill, Elizabeth Bradley, Matthew Gaskill, Leeann Dean, Joe Madden, Cole Cothron   

Additional team members were Erica Eads, Miles Marshall, Josh Fryar, Alec Quinlan, and Nicko Greene.  Thanks to Mrs. Chamberlin, Mr. Tindall, Mrs. Bender, Miss Seevers, and Mrs. Stone for coaching and challenging our kids. Thanks also to our parents for supporting our school in academic competitions.
